Recording and Production
Recording and production (01): Ola Snortheim and Morgan Lindstrøm.
The clarions to the right were used for sampling the horn-sounds applied in pieces like "Gjallarhorne", using the AKAI samplers in the background. After sampling several tones and mapping them to different keyboard-zones, the same clarions could subsequently actually be played from the Roland MKB-200 mother-keyboard. The same techique were used for some other instruments, as well as the human voices, on the Westrveg album.

The main studio of Rainbow Studio, Oslo, which was used for recording the acoustic/electric instruments for "Westrveg". The image shows the grand piano used by Eva Knardahl on "Seljespretten". The studio was also used to record willow flute by Steinar Ofsdal, oboe by Brynjar Hoff, hardingfele by Knut Buen, violins by Atle & Carl Anders Sponberg, plus guitars by Jon Eberson. For guitars, there was also used a smaller and "tighter" studio, in the same location. Technicans: Jan Erik Kongshaug and Øystein Boassen.
